~/about
I find it awkward to write about myself. That should tell you something about me right? Ha!
I love a good laugh. I love getting a laugh out of others. I can’t abide all this seriousness in life. I love an adventure with good friends in the mountains, traveling or at work. The hardest journeys are fun and rewarding with good company and good humour.
I’m a constant apprentice and feel a wide eyed sense of awe about how much more there is to learn and grow. Having made many mistakes, I am still learning from the past and embracing the idea to just, “begin again”.
My most important work is as a father, husband, son, brother, friend and my voluntary work in service of others.
I love tinkering around, creative problem solving and building things that last. I spent my teens in a wood workshop at school, ardently trying to finish projects of all shapes and sizes. I spent my 20s rock climbing / mountaineering and working in the corporate tech world. I spent my 30s to my mid 40s at the helm of a little multi-national company I co founded.
My personal mantra is, “go gently and keep going”.
I have a lot of teachers to thank.
